About Me
My Name is Anastasia Yazeva and I am originally from Almaty, Kazakhstan. My family and I moved to Canada 14 years ago. We lived in Montreal for the first year and have lived in Toronto for a total of 13 years.
I am currently studying Bachelor of Commerce - Hospitality and Tourism Management at Humber College and am set to graduate April 2013. I have enjoyed and been challenged with every course I have taken at Humber College so far and am eager to graduate from the program in a year and finally get into the field full time. I have full professional proficiency in English, Limited working proficiency in Russian, and Elementary proficiency in French.
I first started working at the age of 16 and have gained experience in the Food and Beverage industry, the Pharmaceutical industry, the Financial industry, the Retail industry, and the Hospitality and Tourism industry. I currently hold a job as a Guest Services Agent at the Old Mill Inn & Spa, however in the future I would love to branch out into other parts of the Tourism Industry. I am an energetic, dedicated, and trustworthy individual. I think the best part about the Tourism industry is meeting people from all over the world and working with different types of personalities and cultures. I love to travel and see different parts of the world because it helps me grow as an individual and I find I learn so much about myself through others when I travel.
In the future I would love to have a job that allows me to travel and help people in need in any way that I can. I would love to help people rebuild their lives after disasters and hard economic times. It would also be nice to have my own business that is responsible and sustainable. In the meantime I wish to graduate my Tourism Management program with honours and continue on to take a few language courses at Humber College in order to add to my current knowledge and education.
